Sorry, based on the downvotes I was clearly misconstrued and it's my own fault. I love this project, I'm proud that my taxes are being spent on it, and I can't wait to use it. It just seems to lack the overall vision compared to the Brilliant Branch Bridge project, whose proponents make a clear case about why it should be reconstructed and what they envision will be improved by doing it.

Huh. I'll try hard then to keep the sarcasm in check and recognize this is likely way beyond your influence. But frankly--and especially if funding is still in question--the sponsors' answer to "What does it do and what problems does it solve?" probably needs to be better than "Cross the Mon" followed by a shrug.

They're still responsible for giving the "all clear" signal when a foul or HR goes into the stands.

What is the north end going to connect to? The Duck Hollow trail ends more than a mile away and really isn't useful for much anyway. Besides that, it would be extremely helpful to have a safe and convenient way from the GAP to Swissvale Station. Biking across the Rankin Bridge and getting to the East Busway is a nightmare.

Sure! Just be ready to pay $30 for those 2AM cheese fries and a coke. I'm sure the untapped market is huge.

If you work fairly traditional hours your best bet might be to call around for a drop off appointment. Many if not most places have a key drop so you can leave it there before opening or the evening before (just keep in mind they also need your registration, insurance and wheel lock key if you have one). Depending on when they finish, you then just pick it up at lunch or near closing time.

If you've got the plate number and title number (hopefully kept separate from the car) you can look it up online and print a dupe for free. Don't be confused if it looks like it's just for renewals--the download a duplicate of current registration option will come up on the third page.

I would definitely give Francis Restaurant a call. The upstairs bar (Franks) is the same business and shared kitchen and might be great for that size group.

Turnover and inventory is incredibly low there, and probably always will be. You're going to have to keep sliding that budget slider to the right from wherever you might have started, and you probably need to find a good agent if you're serious about moving there.

Nearly gut reno of my entire main living floor (living room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook and 1/2 bath). Everything was removed when the floor work was done, including the old cabinets and all bath fixtures. We used Nova Flooring. Came out amazing. Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Just did about 900 sqft of oak floors in January. Depends on the condition and how much repair/patching they need to do. I needed about 10% replacement, so the high end of that range sounds about right. Well worth it and looks fabulous, though.

Jeez. Frankly it's very similar to the crap messaging I detested in the 2016 campaign.
"she's with me" > "I'm with her"
"we are seen" > "we see you"

Hi! Already completed the survey, but really enjoyed seeing the aggregated responses to date. There was a link at completion, but it doesn't seem to be available unless you complete it again. Can you share that link?

I recommend downloading the Spin app and creating an account. It doesn't require a credit card if you never intend to ride one. But it lets you quickly make a report of improper parking by scanning the QR code on the scooter and snapping a picture of the offense (click on "Contact Support" then "Report Issue"). I've found they're very responsive to removing them if you make a direct report through the app. I'd like to think it also helps them quickly identify the the last user and issue warnings/bans.

Sorry, what’s your point? I absolutely got a huge but fair reassessment. But if fair tax rates were combined with regular reassessments of all property owners we wouldn’t have this atrociously unfair system.

Closed in March 2020. My reassessment in '21 was fundamentally fair. Can we friggin' stop talking about this as exclusively an assessment issue?!? Until a few good candidates can also successfully communicate and explain the absurdity of our millage rates we're going to be eternally stuck in this crap. There IS a way to fairly fund our schools.

This makes me so sad. Partner and I have a tradition of a birthday dinner wherever the celebrant wants. I was so in the mood for a steakhouse this year, but reasonable Uber/Lyft distance was a must, ruling out Napa Prime. Every steak place in or around downtown just gives me the super pretentious chain-y more money than class vibe.

It absolutely is. There will be lots of people on the trail as well as several pleasure boats tied up along the wharf. But if you're uncomfortable at any point, you can just walk along the sidewalk on North Shore Drive. And if you're really tuckered out, there are also pedicabs that run between PNC and the casino.
