Reply to Celebrating birthday without alcohol by [deleted]
I don’t drink. My favorite things to do to celebrate with a group:
- Experiential dinners (Ethiopian, Korean BBQ, Hot Pot, Dim Sum, family-style-type meals)
- Korean Karaoke so you have your own room (e.g., Wok and Roll)
- Cheap tickets to a sports game
- Mini golf (as others have said)

As some others have said, trying to find a paralegal or legal Secretary type job is going to be your best bet. I was exposed to law in undergrad by working as a (sort of) paralegal/secretary for a small firm. I don’t have any contacts but I’m always happy to talk about law/law school if you ever want to PM.

Reply to Best chicken sandwich in the DMV? by jsnowman97
I’m a fan of Swizzler, Hot Lola’s, and Roaming Rooster. The Swizzler fried chicken sandwich is shockingly good (though not Nashville hot like the other two).
Hill East Burgers also has an interesting fried chicken sandwich (topped with gravy) that is worth trying out to see if it’s your thing.

Falafel Inc.
Chicken and Whiskey has a whole chicken plus sides for $25 or something like that which can feed four people. Obviously more expensive than the grocery store but it’s a great deal for eating out (and delicious).

We use Rise N Shine Cleaners and absolutely love them. I got them off of a recommendation from Reddit when I moved to Navy Yard. They are super nice and do a great job.
