Reply to Jennifer Connelly in a Dario Argento movie called PHENOMENA (1985) is a pleasant surprise but not only is it good but it's absolutely crazy (and Connelly allegedly hates the movie) by Lili_Danube
Dario Argento’s Phenomena may consist of dodgy acting, over-the-top-gore and a non-sensical plot but taken as a dark fairy tale this film can be viewed a little more favourably, and while Connelly may want to leave this film off her resume it’s still worth checking out.

Reply to My thoughts on Jason and the Argonauts. What are your thoughts on this movie by DevilMasterKING
Ray Harryhausen's Jason and the Argonauts was an amazing feat of filmmaking and though it may have diverged from the actual myths it was based on, one must admit that in many places Harryhausen improved on them, making this one of the greatest fantasy films of all time.

It’s rare to find a serial killer film that truly gets into the head of the killer and in this case, Ryan Reynolds gives an amazing performance as a deeply mentally ill individual who somehow remains charming till the end. This is a dark and twisted comedy that deserved a better release.

Nicolas Cage unleashed himself in this fantastic meta-comedy buddy love story action film, a movie that starts out with a quirky weird and off-center version of the real Cage and then Pedro Pascal's scene-stealing superfan enters the picture and what was already a fun and goofy comedy explodes as two incredible actors bounce off each in what could best be described as a tennis match of the gods.

Reply to Is 4k blu ray worth it? by G00bre
It often depends on the disc and what the original movie was filmed on, older films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and Flash Gordon will completely blow you away with how great they look on 4K while newer films like Captain Marvel on 4K don't look much better than their Bluray counterparts.

Reply to Watched RRR on Netflix. by AngryWWIIGrandpa
This was a brilliantly produced and fantastically acted epic that takes two real-life revolutionaries and spins their tales into a superhero origin story that gives us a "What if these two legendary heroes teamed up?" And this really is a superhero movie, one that rivals anything found coming out of the Marvel and DC factories, only with this particular outing we get a fun Bollywood dance-off and one of the best "Animals Attack" sequences in years.

Reply to Can we talk about Slumberland? by RecklessMe
I found it to be a heartwarming fantasy adventure that took elements from Winsor McCay's Little Nemo in Slumberland comic strip and adds a bit of Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits, with Jason Momoa stepping in for the group of time travel dwarven thieves and a very talented Marlow Barkley as Nemo.

I love this movie but that moment of pettiness is so out of character for Superman.

Ray Harryhausen’s Jason and the Argonauts may not be a textbook rendition of the Greek myths but it’s a textbook example of the fantasy genre done right and Harryhausen’s creations continue to impress and inspire generations of fans. Basically, this is one fantastic movie.
