Yea that’s mortgage, taxes, insurance. We’re definitely living well within our means. We both drive cars that are 8-10 years old and are paid off. We’re at like 10% gross income for mortgage.

Well they’re more than welcome to commit a decade of their lives to medical school and residency and fellowship to obtain the same level of education as my wife so they can also make that much money.

It’s whatever. I don’t need fake internet points for validation. I just find it interesting that I can post the most generic, non opinionated answer I could and yet people find the need to downvote it. I know I often play devils advocate or share controversial opinions which get downvotes but this was as vanilla of a post as I can possibly make.

Your employer buys your car and puts bald tires on it?

You’re more than welcome to misconstrue what I said however you’d like. I’d think if you can’t afford to put appropriate tires on your car for the regional weather we experience perhaps you should either 1) relocate 2) take the bus. It’s irresponsible to be driving in a blizzard with bald tires in a shitty car.

We’re on a fairly steep hill by a stop sign. There’s quite a few people who struggle to get going after they stop.

Every time we get a decent amount of snow my kids and I sit at the window and watch all the shitty cars with bald tires struggle to make it up the hill we live on and eventually they slide off the road into the ditch. Luckily for me I can stay home and avoid having to deal with the snow until the roads are cleared. If I do need to drive though both of our cars have good tires and 4wd.

I’ve got plenty of friends, they’re not pathetic bar scum who blow their paychecks slamming down bud light and chicken wings. We have a little more sophisticated interests and actually have standards of who we associate ourselves with.

Ah yes… sitting in a dimly lit room with loud music, sports on TVs that I don’t care about, surrounded by drunk strangers, eating possibly food safety contaminated wings that got fried in a frier that probably hasn’t had its oil changed in weeks and cheap( probably paying $4 for a bud light) beer…. Man that sounds so much better than popping wings in an air fryer, sitting on my comfortable furniture m, watching a show that I want… what the fuck was I thinking.

Yea it’s like $1-2 per wing at most places now but you can still buy wings at the store for cheap. No real reason to eat them out if you know how to cook.

Azure standard. It’s like a organic Costco. The awkward part is picking up your groceries like a drug deal out of the back of a unmarked semi truck in a random public place.

We made most of our current friends through Girl Scouts, soccer, library activities, summer camp, etc. start with play dates, then dinner parties, now basically every weekend we’re hanging out doing something.

Then find one of your friends with $400-600 million to build a Grand Prix track if the state is so flush with cash it shouldn’t be a problem

Different parts of the state are getting different amounts of snow. My house near New Haven says maybe 2-3”, my house right across the state line in MA is getting 22”.
