I think the best solution for this is something more like augmentation. If it's possible to run a mind on a computer, you can likely connect an organic brain to a computer and use it as additional memory storage and processing power. Do that, make sure all your memories are copied over, and then deactivate your organic brain. You would maintain consciousness through the process, so it would really be your consciousness in that computer, not just a copy.
