As someone who makes my money cleaning up after others, I can assure you that the job is not done. It is never DONE, because the people who make the messes will always be there.

Life happens. Some days your "put food on the table/ gas in the tank" job may interfere with your CAREER. Some days your relatives may interfere with social network and who you want to ultimately be.

Well, I think it is saying that we all have setbacks; and just because you have to start over doesn't mean that you should give up.

Thank you for this post. I have felt like such a failure over the last three years. I see others around me who seem to have it all figured out, no ifs ands or buts. Then here I am after years of working hard and dreaming big with nothing to show, and my body literally breaking down from the stress of it all.

Could YOU be all those things for someone else?

Reply to I love this quote.... by hit21213
I really, really get this. Like I come from a WASPs (White Anglo Saxon Protestants) who lived in the suburbs with a 3bd/ 2bth ranch house with attached garage. Church every Sunday and a chicken dinner with all the fixings afterwards. The rose bushes were the envy of the neighborhood and the grass was cut every week. The kitchen yielded home baked cookies and pies, and all the neighborhood kids played in the yard. But I am autistic, trans, and an atheist. I never fit into that world past age six.

And that's no doubt why he killed himself.
