...are you excusing districts for quite literally not doing what they're supposed to do? Manpower is down everywhere. There's still plenty to walk beats. They're hiding inside at a desk with sore knees.
Those boots can't taste good, man.

They’re supposed to be walking beats. They never went away, the districts just got lazy.

Reply to Mad about book bans in school libraries? Philadelphia has a solution - no libraries at all! Only 7/217 schools have libraries for their kids. by youngbuck215
This isn’t why the schools here don’t have libraries anymore. Someone was able to convince everyone that switching to chromebooks would be better than needing books and paper, and they got away with it. 🙃 I think it was 2016ish? It wasn’t the norm before.

I love that I grew up in the area, went to catholic school, and still only learned about the whole event as an adult.

They didn't use the empty building time to fix the electrical issues either, which is why they keep claiming they can't upgrade buildings to be climate controlled. And no one will tell you where the money goes. I've gone all the way to the top of SDP for answers.

Doctors and other medical staff aren’t paid by patient, they’re salary. 🤦🏻♀️
If they can cover the cost to toss her out of the country. Why can’t they cover the cost to keep her? Y’all are just brainwashed.

The basic version is lower enrollment jeopardizes a school when existing. Look at Germantown High and the excuses for why they closed it.

If only that actually worked that way. It removes funding from the rest of the kids instead.

Lots of people are pro GFS. I fully understand looking outside of public school here if you're not in a good catchment, but I find it more than borderline offensive when people move into a good catchment area and then still don't use the school.
In case it's not clear, you're in a good catchment.

I live near PC and the amount of PC cars I see on my way back from SP where I take my teen cracks me up. I wish we could all connect and trade pick up/drop off routes. xD

-whispers- I've been bitching about this for years.
People think the city is just soooooo scary. The county has plenty of its own criminals, and they often come here to fuck around. They've been treating the city as their personal playground for a while. I mean, look at the stats on who's down on the Ave seeking a fix.

There’s stuff that absolutely warrants complaint, I just wish more people followed that with action. I’m hoping that things get back to even better, especially for the kids.
