Reply to Fellow Pennsylvanians, we must join our neighbors from r/Maryland to defend our territory from the Delawarean scourge! by MPA_Dad
I know building walls is so 2016 but that's what I would do to stop the Delaware horde. They can take their tax free products and shove it!

Reply to comment by redditaccount624 in Unemployment form is forcing choice between "Voluntarily Quit" and "Leave of Absence" despite being fired? Won't this deny unemployment? by redditaccount624
That's going to be a fight. They can claim firing and go ahead and sign up for unemployment. Likely the company is going to dispute that and at that point the unemployment will continue until there is a hearing between the claimant and a rep from the company. Then someone at unemployment will make a determination and usually that ruling can also be disputed by either party. This goes on until the claimant gives up or wins the final ruling. Also note that if the claimant gets unemployment funds and then loses the final ruling or stops fighting they have to pay those funds back. You can set up a payment plan to pay it back and it doesn't accrue interest. Yes, all of this happened to me in my 20s.

Totally agree, I'm an Independent who has voted for both parties at different times but the "Trumpublicans" are forcing me to vote more Democrat than I normally do. Starting to feel an even stronger need for a third and fourth option that can actually win.

I think it's funny they think signs are an effective campaign tactic in 2022. Sure they probably still work on older residents but the majority of them that can be swayed in that way are likely voting Republican anyway.

I moved to PA last year and it was quite a lot of hoop jumping despite the fact that I had a Real ID from another state. It's a process but people are dropping all kinds of craziness on here. You have your Birth certificate which is great. Of the acceptable docs listed on the website a school ID is going to be the easiest for you. You will have to go to your school admin office and see if they can get you an ID. If they don't do ID'S then tell them your situation and see what alternatives they can get you. Then go to the Social office with you birth certificate and your ID and you should be able to get your replacement Social card. After you get that take all those docs to DMV and try to get your ID. I also had to take my mail with me to dmv but not sure if that was because I had moved, still couldn't hurt to bring along to show residency. It's a process, good luck and be patient.

Can't get a passport without a state ID or driver's license and OP has neither.
