I know everyone seemed to love Anker when they first started out but I had a lot of chargers that have died. You get what you pay for I guess.

So the A1366 is being recalled. Lucky for me I have a A1244, which I'm sure doesn't share any of the same components.

Reply to Power outlets have a faint smell. by napstur
Since you can smell the outlet, swap one out and see if it changes anything. If you're handy you shouldn't need an electrician.
Make sure to buy an AL / CU rated outlet just in case. You could have aluminum wiring since your place is 1969 - that can cause all sorts of issues. If your ground wire is coming from the same cable it should be copper colored. Also, if you're aluminum you might see some purple connectors if someone has mitigated it in the past.

Your kids won't have a planet that functions if people don't sacrifice. Everyone did what was easy for them all these decades - now we have to pay the price.
Cry all you want it's going to get worse for our kids and grandkids. And you're whining about what prices you're paying today.

That's kind of the bottom line, isn't it? At some point we have to all bite the bullet and pay more. Either a generation will have higher utility bills or a more fucked up planet. Can't keep kicking the can down the road waiting for prices to drop.
"Corporations are evil and polluting the environment! We need clean renewables! We're running out of time!"
"Are you willing to pay for clean energy, today? It's 50% more."
"Fuck no"

I've started to use drywall sealer on the sanded mud before I hit it with primer and it seems to help.
