I would go further and say that summers are incredible. There's a lot of light. The day never ends. Rain is much less frequent, and actually refreshing when it does occur. It gets warm, but not incredibly hot. Only downside is how much denial people are in over the temperature, to the point they don't even have AC. That is a big mistake.

This is true. People seem to think it will only affect you if you have SAD. But SAD is relative. We have a biological need for sunlight. Some people will have symptoms anywhere. But here, you have to make a specific effort to get your sunlight and vitamin d.

I never had issues before, even when it got very cold or very dark, because it wasn't so permanent. But now I'm really considering buying one of those blue light therapy things. Only reason I haven't is that I feel like I could make my own much cheaper.

Awful logic.

If guns were illegal you think these scenarios would still exist?

If they hired private security you think these scenarios would still exist?

If this were a Christian/Jewish/Insert-Religion-Here country you think these scenarios would still exist?

If poverty weren't systemic you think these scenarios would still exist?

Your question is pointless. It's tangential at best, and doesn't at all establish a causative link.

I agree, it's not ideal. But it's a very not ideal situation that the hospitals are 100% responsible for. I would be fine with ending travel nursing if they also ended stupidly low pay caps. But I don't know why there are any nurses who aren't travel nurses at this point. Those are the ones being rewarded by the hospitals.

😂

The people who bought a house for 300k that is now worth a million dollars are being absolutely CRUSHED under the weight of all that extra money!! They just can't handle all this extra wealth!!

And even with all those laws Washington put in place, protecting them from tax increases so that they get grandfathered in and continue to pay the lower tax rates even as new home buyers get screwed by both inflated housing prices and higher taxes, these older home owners are the real victims!

The efficiency is less important - we already have residential houses. Why not cover them with solar panels?

Don't get me wrong, if they don't generate enough electricity to cover the cost of the panels or something like that, then efficiency is important. But there's no point comparing their efficiency to a solar farm.

If we're honest, all solar is far less efficient here than in most US states.
