People hear tradition and think it's a hobby or something. It is not.

This is a way of life for the Sami people. They rely on reindeer herding as a matter of survival. The energy company wants to take land from an ethnic minority group to further their own profits.

The path to progress should not be laid with the blood of indigenous minorities.

People need to read the last sentence in the title over again.

There is a court order to not build the turbines. Energy company wants to ignore the court order. Thunberg and court are on the same side in this.

If the metal is snapping in your hands, it sounds like a defective piece rather than a systemic design flaw.

We installed sharkbite fittings in our house several years ago because of unique hazards a torch would pose, and they haven't had any leaks.

Lots of islamophobia and sentiment against Muslims in there. What are your thoughts on the Uyghur, Hmmm....?

I love and hate how you are technically correct, but not for the reasons you think.

The Soviet Union tried invading Afghanistan long before the US went in, and got their asses handed to them in humiliating defeat. Now, Russia gets its ass handed to it in Ukraine.

Solutions:

  • Light-weight fake tree (no toxins or fall dangers)

  • No lights (no strangulation or electrocution)

  • Large, shatter-proof ornaments attached via string (no sharp hooks or sharp broken ornaments)

They also sell fake "pop-up" trees that are physically impossible for a cat to climb because they have no branches. You should have seen the look of disappointment on our cat when we set ours up.

Come to think of it, yeah 🤔

I remember it'd be pitch black out, parents would have flashlights, and the streets would still be bustling. I swear we wouldn't get home until after 10, and now they expect it all to be wrapped up before 8.

India has been going through something of an industrial revolution in the tech sector in the last decade. Tons of tech jobs entering the market and a workforce willing to adapt to rising demand. Those jobs also require sufficient infrastructure to exist, which has been rapidly expanding to accommodate.

Their filming method doesn't conform to typical "reality TV standards."

Sure, they go into episodes with a plan in mind. That does not make it scripted. Sometimes the plan works, sometimes it doesn't. If the plan fails bad enough, they scrap it in the editing. Sometimes, the plan exceeds all expectations (Reliant Robin NASA).

They had a plan in Alabama: piss people off. They did not hire extras to appear pissed off. It was candid, single-take. They did not plan how it would go.

They had similar issues while in Argentina. There, they weren't accused of faking it. Rather, they were accused of inciting a riot due to the license plate, a claim they were able to deny with proof (interview with the person who bought the car for the show).
