Reply to comment by anengineerandacat in Pokemon Go player baffled as Timed Research demands they go to Mexico by oofdonkey
I admit I only played a little bit when it released, but man that would really defeat the purpose for me. It already felt like a game with no gameplay. The “go explore and discover Pokémon” was quite literally the only little bit of fun I was able to find, and you are proposing you get rid of that entirely.
I’m obviously not the target audience as I stopped playing pretty quickly. But I really don’t know what the point of the game would be at that point of exploring to find Pokémon wasn’t part of it.

Congratulations. You are the exact sort of person being complained about.
No. That’s quite literally not what anybody means when using the words “Chinese food” together. Language is about communicating ideas, and that’s obviously not the idea trying to be communicated when using those words.
“Well ackshuawally”.

I feel like those aren’t one to one comparisons though. Both of those instances weren’t the result of huge decreases in their population. The drop in GDP in Ukraine isn’t necessarily because all of the same people are still present, and are just producing less. It’s because huge swaths of their populations have fled the country.
Regardless I’m not saying a 30% drop in GDP is a good or neutral thing. Just that I don’t think that comparison really tells us as much as it seems to.

One of the best movies ever. I wish they still made children’s movies that way. If the movie doesn’t scar you for life, what’s the point of even watching it? For more examples, see The Brave Little Toaster or Return to Oz.

I've done the short yet somewhat steep hike down Cleetwood Cove trail, but didn't go swimming. Well worth it just for the views from the rocky beach. Have yet to actually boat to Wizard Island, but I imagine that would be quite the spectacle itself.
But honestly, enough can't be said about the clearness of the water for those that haven't been. The lake is entirely fed by rainfall and snow melt, with no rivers or streams feeding into it at all. So neat to see in something so incredibly large.

Crater Lake is such an awesome spot! One neat thing that isn’t always super obvious from the photos, is that this lake is very high up! It has an elevation of over 6,000 feet. The lake itself is also very deep, reaching depths of nearly 2,000 feet at its deepest spots. Definitely worth a visit. You can drive around the outside of the caldera to get some really stunning views of the surrounding geography.

And is the implication here that informants with political positions we don’t agree with shouldn’t be used as informants? This is just further solidifying you do not understand the role of an informant.
