We had a board game weekend and a group decided to learn to play Everdell, it looked similar to Wingspan but I didn’t get into their game enough to learn. It took them a good couple hours at least with learning and playing.
Also, a friend of mine made Tiny Towns! If you like it he’s got a new game out called Wormholes and a kickstarter (which might be closed) for a game called Fit to Print. Both are excellent.

My husband is addicted to star realms. It’s great because he can play the mobile version with all his friends that live out of state.

They were headed for the freezer and I didn’t think dressed waffles would freeze (or rather reheat) well.

I don’t make waffles often so definitely homemade. NYT recipe is a solid go to.

Part of it is a dark scar from a burn. I think the rest is just a shadow? Idk.

The ploughgate creamery butter. Brown parchment with the red sticker. It’s top notch on practically any carb of choice.

Yeah, my toaster oven probably wouldn’t like it either.

After living Chicago coffee for 3 years and now being here in Vermont I usually tend to go with Brio, Brave, or Carrier. I sit more on the medium / lighter roasts though as that was what I was usually slinging in Lakeview and River North. I have yet to find anything comparable to a Dark Matter dark roast, but I haven’t actively been looking.

Reply to In search of Cuban food by wontonsoop78
I’ve started cooking my own. My mom is from Havana and I grew up eating Cuban food as comfort food. Dishes like cuban fricasse, picadillo, and ropa vieja aren’t too complex. You can also get plantains and yucca at Hannaford and price chopper a lot of the time. It’s not the exactly the same, but it works.
