RoP didn't beat HotD overall, though. Higher streaming, but those figures didn't take into account the roughly 2mil viewers watching on HBO proper. Factoring the ENTIRE viewership into account RoP was the one getting whooped each week.

Literally, I have not seen this response in any widespread manner for Velma. I think you're looking to drum up the exact outrage you seem to be condemning. You've been conditioned to 'fight the racism' as much as the other side has been to give it.

I can't speak for why you don't like it, but I can speak for why it's not working as effectively for me. They are down a noticeable cast member, and the remaining cast are split between two story lines, not intersecting as often as they did in season one. It feels more disjointed, and thus less enjoyable, than when they were all together playing off each other.

It would be true of any show. If Friends alternated between the guys doing stuff in Chandler's and Joey's apartment, and then the girls in Monica and Rachael's, with the two groups rarely all together, then it would have been a lot worse.

I can't speak to The Witcher, but a big part of Willow's problem is the core audience grew up in the 30ish years since it's release, while the show feels like a step backwards. That's not inherently wrong mind you, as maybe Disney is looking to build something for a younger audience. But much like the comic book industry, when you go hunting for a customer base that isn't into your product, at the cost of the one that is, you risk making almost nobody happy. And when that happens, the product suffers.

Best: Andor.

I actually delayed watching it for longer than I should have because I was so tired of bad Star Wars offerings. That show restored my faith in the franchise.

(Bonus) Should have been the best but was easily the worst: Rings of Power.

So much missed opportunity. They had everything they needed - a huge budget, an incredible IP, and a completely untapped period in the lore that is where the franchise's most known villain has his best moments.
