I wish a similar LOTR MMO would be out with state of the art graphics. I can't deal with the old look anymore, even though it has its charm.

As mentioned in my other post that I can't edit for some reason, my wife is very similar to your GF in terms of play style. Loves Zelda and low stress games. She absolutely LOVED Witcher 3. played it through including all expansions minus the last boss (he stressed her out...). She owned a vineyard, played gwent, was a frequent visitor to brothels and generally just adored it. She wouldn't let me start my play through for 8 months!

I highly recommend it, she can play it on easy for the low stress aspect.

Dude this was my wife when we played that Star Wars MMO together. She got upset every time a player tried to talk/group with us! so funny...

Darkfall, with all it's shortcomings, it was the best MMO outside UO when it was at its peak player base.

An absolute classic Boll film. One of his worst and therefore one of the best!

Dude I worked in this field and still have plenty of colleagues currently in game development. Companies have way more staff, WAY way more overhead and take on a lot more risk than 20 years ago. This more than justifies the prices. Sure, some companies sell a lot more and create record profits but all it takes is one game that flops that can throw a developer close to bankruptcy. It's very similar in the movie world too these days.

You don't pay your staff 30% more, it's a magnitude higher than that with a massively bigger staff. And with big money, comes bigger risk, therefore I stand with the point I made.

dude production costs didn't stay the same. modern AAA titles cost 200 -300 mil easily, require teams of hundreds of highly qualified people making 6 figures+
Compare that to most games made in the 90's. Small teams, cheaper labor, cheaper equipment, etc.

They aren't, they provide great value for the amount most games cost.

I disagree with many points in this ranking but fully agree with your #1 - Grave is a goddamn masterpiece.
Man, I need to revisit some of the movies you mentioned...so many memories
