Reply to NPS and DDOT moving ahead with road redesign in East Potomac Park. One vehicle lane on Ohio Drive from the East Potomac Golf Course to Hains Point and back to Buckeye Drive will be replaced with a dedicated bicycle and pedestrian lane. Work expected to begin next month by mistersmiley318
Ignoring the fact that this is such a pathetic attempt at fixing the issues at hand (put in some physical infrastructure), why the heck is it going to take an entire week to paint 3 miles of road?
I could finish it by hand by myself quicker than that

Density. Bodegas survive in NYC because 1K people live above or on the same block as them.
In DC there are so few areas with that density that all the retail there goes to national chains that can afford huge rents and want a flagship DC store.

We already have one. It is to build more market rate housing in desireable locations where people want to live. That is the only long-term nationwide sustainable solution to the housing crisis.
