It works in Portugal because it’s a small country. Portland decriminalized hard drugs and there’s open drug use all over. It’s gotten significantly worse, and people flock here because they won’t get arrested. It’s only works if actual rehab and mental health facilities are available

Or. Stop building cities in deserts with green grass and gold courses everywhere. We’ve been slowly removing dams, restoring habit, trying to undo the shortsighted thinking like-build more dams do Vegas and Phoenix can have lush yards

If you enjoy stomping around the woods maybe consider a career in forest management? No idea about your age/ physical abilities, but it sounds like being outside is good for you. Utility company’s need powerline tree trimmers, the state needs fire fighters. Just sayin, get paid to do what helps your mental health.
