Patent protection lasts 20 years at most. Trade secrets can last forever. by ethereal3xp
Or how was Joan Crawford already the widow of Pepsi CEO Alfred Steele in 1959 (who had been CEO of Pepsi since 1949)

Typically royalties and residuals come into play when a movie is shown on tv. To get box office money an actor would need to have gross points built into their contracts, which was not overly common back then, and definitely wouldn’t have been granted to a cast of mostly unknowns on a lower budget, niche project like RHPS.

I just went to a place about 10 miles south of downtown Sacramento that had a whole bunch of wineries’ tasting rooms gathered in one building. It was a good way to spend a Monday, and close enough for a Lyft there and back to not be ridiculously expensive, but I can only imagine the madness that must ensue there on a Saturday
