If I had to live out in nature like people did tens of thousands of years ago - this would be my kind of spot.

Out of context it's kinda creepy looking. But since I've been familiar with the reference for a whole week now it put a big grin on my face.

It's been too long since the last by now. They could make a killing remaking the first two Sonic Adventures first, then releasing a third to complete the trilogy.

For me they were both 20 years ago because I didn't get to play the Megadrive/Genesis classics (despite growing up in that time) until I got Sonic Mega Collection on the GameCube.

GameCube was killing it with the Sonic titles really. Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic Heroes all rocked!

The rubble at the bottom is an interesting example of how forcefully the rocks come down. They're piling up into a ridge, probably because they just keep tumbling until they smack into it and probably even get launched up it to make the higher parts.

Yeah I thought this was a digital matte painting at first.

This is so cool! Such a neat and fun idea. Bonus if you can climb into it and look out the windows.

In Sydney and much of the east coast of Australia we had "much needed rain" going non-stop for about seven months. It flooded and destroyed so much. Definitely is such thing as "bad weather" and it's usually when you get another day of the same shit you've had every day for the past month. Same goes for sunshine too - it's all cheery until you have a whole summer of it and your city goes into water restrictions, everything gets dusty and decades-old trees die from the lack of rain.

Western Australia is sounding better to me every year. I'm in Sydney and honestly I don't know how anyone can enjoy this place without being a multi-millionaire since that's the only way you're gonna be living close enough to nature (beaches, national parks, etc) to really be able to enjoy them regularly. Plus the climate on the east coast has just been garbage for the last few years. Western Australia conjures up images of stunning nature, beautiful beaches, great weather and actually being able to afford to be near them without sitting on the train or in traffic for an hour. One of these trees on a property there would be a selling point for me if it wasn't too far away from civilization. I'd make it the centrepiece of a wonderland garden full of unique arid climate plants since boab and other "fat" trees are just so fascinating to me. Truly looking like they're from another world. Didn't even consider the night skies would be better there too.

Might be a different tree type. There's the "Queensland bottle tree" which has a similarly fat trunk, but is still a different species.

Stunning! I can't believe how real this looks. Also reminds me of Super Mario Sunshine with the dolphin shaped island which on the map you see briefly is near a turtle one. I always wanted a sequel where the turtle island and others could be explored. Nice job!

It's a pretty decent metaphor isn't it?

Greatest generation: Planted trees because they knew what it was like to grow up without any and wanted better for their kids.
Boomers: Cut the matured trees down for wood to heat their huge homes. Didn't plant new ones because they'd damage the pool they put in their place to one-up the neighbours.
Millennials: Inherits no trees because their parents wanted a sun-bathed yard mostly full of nothing instead so now they have to plant their own.
Gen Z: Learn from all this.

They left us plenty of lawns though for the kids we can't afford to not play on because the property now belongs to some overseas investor.

Reminds me of the scene in "Twister" though they seem to be dancing in the wind rather than running from it. Very striking and dramatic painting and I like the "ink blot" technique used on the debris at the bottom of the tornado.
