What winter?

We own and we have multiple fireplaces which we don’t use since it’s not practical. Our bills were never this high but the last year or two the costs have exploded.

We have the main part of the house set at 55 and individual rooms are set according to whose room it is (each bedroom/bathroom has its own thermostat). It still massively sucks.

Make sure you look at the terms for the lower rates and if they expire. Hubby forgot to make an adjustment after a 12 month intro and we got hit with a 4 figure electric bill. We (painfully) paid it but we learned to keep a close eye on supplier intro offers after that.

I had an at fault accident and my rates went up like $50/mo for about two years than dropped back down. Plus I got rental coverage for the entire 40 ish days my car was in the shop. No way paying out of pocket wild have saved me money, even in the long run. This is a single anecdote but just putting it out there.

I used $100 as an example. Overall I’m just saying isn’t this why you pay for insurance? (Aside from it being legally required).

Even if your rates go up say $100 a month (unlikely) it would take 4ish years to break even on paying it fully out of pocket.

One win does not make the whole influencer thing legitimate.

That’s how state laws work. What’s okay in one state may not be in another. On the flip side, there are likely laws in other states that you dislike but don’t have to worry about because you don’t live there.

Get a part time job at least to ease back into the workforce.
