Reply to Which sequel are you thirstiest for? by Bookanista
The next book in the 'Haunting Danielle' series by Bobbi Holmes.
This is so not what I normally read - I guess it would be classified as cozy ghost mystery - but I came across the first four books as a set on sale and ended up falling in love with the characters. It's an indie series and it's up to 31 or 32 books. They're relatively short at 250 pages each or so but I really enjoy them.
I've already pre-ordered the next one which comes in April.

I'm looking for any books/information (in English) on how average people lived in Germany/Prussia during the late nineteenth century. Things like food, dress, social interactions, etc., especially in rural areas.
Can anyone suggest anything?

Once a year I get a small check from my insurance company. Evidently at least 80% of the money they take in must be spent on medical care and they usually don't quite meet it, hence the refund. So that's at least 20% right off the top the insurance companies keep.
But that's not all. You have to also remember that doctors and hospitals, etc have to pay people to deal with the insurance companies. The doctors and nurses have to spend extra time doing all sorts of documentation to satisfy the insurance companies. There's lots of costs on the other side that also have to be paid for.

This. They reneged on their agreement two days before the World Cup started. And I would bet a lot of money they planned on doing exactly this from the beginning.

Reply to I picked up Wool, and couldn’t put it down. by fn0000rd
I originally picked up 'Wool' because of the author (Hugh Howey). He was one of the first successful self-published authors. Here's an article about him and his writing journey that you may find interesting...
How Hugh Howey turned his self-published book into a book deal.
