The ship sunk in 1660 it's amazing that they are able to recover intact cloth, let alone an entire dress from the ship. I guess the cold dark water of the North Sea helped to preserve it.

Now this bed isn't quite that old. It dates to 1859, yet somehow after WWII ended up at an antique auction.

That it's been in a wall for well over 1000 years, makes me hopeful that there is still plenty of history out there to be found.
