I'm not gonna act like all those pipes and stuff aren't visually cool. To me at least.

Obviously not a fan of what it's doing to the area though. Feels like all our opposition has been proven right in a short amount of time.

65 and 279 both kinda fucked the north side over. Beaver Ave in Chateau used to be a bustling commercial street not too dissimilar from Carson St. The area needs a lot of TLC and highway overhaul in order to make it pedestrian friendly again. I'm not sure California Ave can be a viable business strip without that and serious zoning changes.

I like the plant store that's in there. Everything else seems mostly out of place. It doesn't make a lot of sense when compared to the neighborhood as a whole because the businesses there don't seem to be made for the residents.

The article makes comparisons to Ross and Robinson. I kinda agree. I also think both those suburbs have better businesses of those kinds. The city should be able to capitalize on its natural differences from the suburbs and build accordingly...not try and mimic them.
