If it benefits everyone we don't need to fund it publicly... because everyone stands to benefit from it existing.
You know, like UL.

Everyone benefits from many things, that doesn't have any bearing on whether what he's saying will work or not.

Slightly misleading.
Young people leave for the city or whatever, then get married and have kids, and then realize they want to raise their kids here, so they move back. So they are granite staters, they just have their kids elsewhere.

Sure but preventing people who have been involuntarily committed from having guns is not the same or even particularly similar to preventing "being near a gun when you have mental health issues"
Also, the Brenda Spencer case has nothing to do with this.

We should remove the prohibition on owning firearms for people who have been involuntarily committed.

That's clearly not true considering the large number of people walking around with bad mental health.

Can anybody recommend a good gun for use during a dog attack?
I'm thinking one handed operation with the muzzle pressed up against the body - does that disqualify striker fired pistols because the slide could easily get bound up?

I am reliably informed by the esteemed members of this subreddit that I myself am disabled.
Also, being nonbinary isn't a disability.

I'm not calling disabled people pathetic. I'm explicitly saying disabled people especially endure hardships and it isn't psychologically damaging to have one incident like this.
You and all your buddies in this subreddit reeeeing about how one little experience like this is going to damage someone who is disabled.

I mean, my buddy pantsed me at lunch in middle school once in front of the whole lunch room and I walked it off because I'm not a pathetic loser.

Sure but I'm responding simply to this claim made above:

No I don't.
I'm not the one that thinks so little of them that I believe they will be damaged after one little incident like this.
