I have learned over the years, that I choose the audiobook based on the person(s) reading it. A first rate audiobook has first rate readers who are professional actors. When you have several readers each playing a part it’s like being at a play. Don’t try to listen to too many chapters at once. I usually listen during my daily walks. Try it that way. Slowly.

Also, you get great audiobooks on Libby. Great for walks !

Depends on the book and/author! If I think that it is a future winner in every sense, I would probably buy so that I can go back to it again and again…

When I borrow an audiobook from the library I listen to the first chapter ; if the book is read by a “reader” who is boring I return the book right away. There are some great performers out there who make the story come alive!
