Oh yea, this ribbon again. Pretty controversial topic among russians. Goverment tried to force it as a symbol of ww2 win, but it has too many similarities with ribbons used in Imperial Russia and some war medals. Also, people tied ribbons to their pets, sneakers, bottles of vodka, and cars, and it made the ribbons look tatterered and dirty. It quickly lost popularity, like everything forced by the government, and now is only sometimes used in 9th may celebrations in Russia.
