What’s your favorite place to get some good pad Thai or drunken noodles in the DC area?
Edit: I can’t believe every answer is different! I guess I have to try them all..

The spicy pork belly fried rice -- perfection!
BOMB!
OP: Baan Siam is definitely the answer, but they don’t serve Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles. Go and be amazed. If you really like those specific dishes, Thai Square on Columbia Pike in Arlington is good - and also has a good deal of menu items that are harder-to-find (e.g. quite a few Thai noodle soups).
Notice my very deliberate wording haha, this is a good clarification.
The best
100%
On conn Ave?
No, it’s over on 4th/I area off of Mass Ave.
Ahh okay thinking Siam house on conn Ave
Beau Thai in Mt. Pleasant is excellent
Siam House
This is the correct answer
Siam House in Cleveland Park but hoping to try Donsak soon!
Paragon Thai in NW 100% is my answer. I used to get takeout from them once a week before reigning in my spending lol. Great portions and great flavors. Consistency is pretty good. I do think sometimes they have a different kitchen staff that makes the food slightly different but 9/10 times it’s so good (the other 10% it isn’t bad, just not quite as good? Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, the Tofu Lover dish, their curry, their mango sticky rice. All of it I love. Oh their Brussel sprouts too! My partner lived in Thailand for a few months and has said this is the best Thai she’s had since moving back to the States.
paragon is fantastic
I go to Siam House all the time but I’ve been meaning to try out this place too.
BKK cookshop is good
Their take on drunken noodles (using spaghetti(?)) - so good!!
Yes!! So glad you agree. I wasn’t sure at first but was instantly a fan when I tried.
The new Donsak in Woodley Park is very good.
It has become our current go to. Just picked up last night, and it was packed.
Their crispy thai chicken is so good. Highly recommend.
Pantry in Petworth is decent, and they also have sushi, which is always a bonus. Thai X-ing, which is more about authentic, home-style Thai cusine, is amazing, and closing soon, so you should check it out while you can. It's a great experience.
Thai X-ing has either closed or is closing very soon.
Thai Taste by Kob in Wheaton!
Ryan Thai is a close second.
Kao Sarn Thai Street Food in Eden Center
Best khao soi in dc
Had a great dinner at Nava Thai in Wheaton, Md.

We went there on Jan 21. There weren’t a lot of people there and it seemed like there were only 3 people working. We guessed it was a husband and wife and one of their mothers, but the food was fantastic.
Better than Ruan?
Rice on 14th
Thai Square and Crystal Thai in Arlington
Thai at Silver Spring
I'll agree with the others that Siam House is very good. Super convenient red line access too.
Thai Chef Street Food in dupont has to be my favorite. If you like your thai leaning towards the spicier end of the spectrum, this is your place. I like the vibe of the place in general as well.
Ammathar/thaitanic for standard thai dishes/noodles, baan Siam for northern/more unique stuff, Beau thai for curries, Sura for something different
second tier is bkk, soi38, thai chef street food, rice etc.
Bua on P Street. 25+ years of their pad Thai and I want more. They know what they are doing!
Haad Thai and Talay Thai
Kin Da Thai in Takoma
I'd say Kin Da is good but not great. I go there a lot because it's convenient (walking distance from where I live), but if I want more variety I order delivery from Charm Thai in Silver Spring.
Beau Thai always
Check out his new place that opened up, Thai and Time Again in woodley park. New and surprisingly good. Hope they can stay open!
Thai Pad is my go-to for affordable 8/10 Thai food, everything on their menu is good. 10 being Michelin star status
Soi 38 and Ammathar are my favorites.

DEFINITELY Thai Pad in Van Ness. Especially their drunken noodles.
Sura!

Unfortunately all Thai food in DC sucks. Nothing like the west coast
