Folks'll say that it takes two people to fuck an eagle.

But really, keep that man away from me

Or was it two of them holding down one eagle?

You got a problem with Vermont eagles, you got a problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate.

It was funny a couple times. Now it’s just spam. I wonder if it’s one or two people with an agenda or if I am missing the joke and it is still hilarious.

I think it’s just people who can’t come up with their own premise for a joke beating this one into the ground. Seriously people, you’re giving Malloy WAY too much attention and mental space.

It’s just Letterkenny fans enjoying the joke and venting on Malloy

Fuck you, Malloy, your mom shot cum straight across the room and killed my Siamese fighting fish, threw off the pH levels in my aquarium.

These guys are doing exactly what the media did with trump. They are giving him free advertising and rent free space within their heads. We need to stop focusing on what we hate and turn that focus to what we need as a society.

While I think it’s important to focus on what we need as a society I think people need an outlet too.

I dont understand all the hate and vulgarity against Maloy. Could someone genuinely explain it to me in a civil manner? I'm genuinely interested.

Because he specifically moved to Vermont two years ago with the intention of bringing trumpism to Vermont.

He’s one of a number of republican candidates this election cycle that moved into a state with the explicit idea of running for office.

Don’t understand why anyone would vote for a clear carpet bagger promoting lies.

Coachtzu t1_ivc6n8t wrote

I could give two shits if someone is a Republican in the traditional sense. I personally wish they'd do a little more to come up with ideas instead of just saying what won't work, Dems/progs are certainly flawed and I don't think they think things through all the way, but at least they're trying to solve problems even if I don't always agree with their remedies.

Malloy is cut from the trumpy cloth of republicanism though, which carries the election denialism, xenophobic, anti education, dumbass rhetoric that is actively dangerous to the country instead of just being something I disagree with. On top of that his campaign is putting his signs up all over the state, it's not just a few intersections, they're all up and down the roadways. Talk about not understanding Vermonters, which he doesn't since he just moved here a couple years ago, and a few campaign events ain't gonna change that.

I think he explains that very well. I wish I could say I was a native born Vermonter, unfortunately I am not. I am from the deep, red, south. I wish I could say that I support either candidate, I think both sides are incredibly flawed. My biggest issue though with Republicans is they lean more towards Very restrictive rules based on religion. The republican party has for the longest time opposed abortion rights. As a woman, that alone is enough for me to say no thank you. There are plenty of reasons there should be exceptions for abortions. There is a very solid list for the reason there should be late term abortions. There is no woman out there who gets a late term abortion and did it willy-nilly or just because she didn’t want the pregnancy. on that platform alone, I cannot support them. I invite anybody who disagrees to see the medical and be very real human side to that debate. On top of that there is no pulling yourself up by the bootstraps, and if that’s what your platform stands on, you don’t care about the people. I’m not saying Democrats really do, I think they’re just slightly better than Republicans

Unfortunately everybody wants to virtue signal their hatred towards the ‘maga’ people. It’s not productive and only furthers the divide. We are seeing a real lack of progress because of this

Considering you think the US heading in the MAGA direction is "progress", I'm surprised you can even spell "golfer."

Vermonter623 t1_ivfr3cc wrote

I don think, nor did I say that I think maga is the way. I don’t. Only a real idiot thinks politicians are here to help them or exist to solve their problems. They don’t.

−3

cohray2212 t1_ivftalk wrote

You're wrong, it's literally their job to solve problems. It has been normalized that politicians are only working toward personal gain but accepting that and ignoring how things can get better is a level of cynicism you'd normally only hear from a Russian. It perpetuates the problem.

So you have, in this comment thread, asked for less vitriol toward MAGA people, saying it's unproductive and halts progress while also calling anyone who wants to hold politicians accountable for progress an 'idiot.' It sounds like you have it all figured out. /s
