LMAO.

It is an Amazon show whose show runner also made Reacher. It will be more of the forgettable trash that Amazon spews out.

Reacher's showrunner has nothing to do with Citadel.

Wtf are you even talking about.

Reacher ... with an 8.1/10 on 132,000 reviews on IMDb, and a 92% critic score and 91% audience score on RT?

Don't know what that's got to do with anything, though. Nick Santora is the showrunner on Reacher and he has no involvement in Citadel. Citadel was originally headed by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, but they got into a spat with the Russo Bros and now David Weil is running it along with the Russos.

What is it with this subreddit accusing any positivity of being a marketing ploy or a bot lmao. You’re all tapped

Truly didn't mean to come off like a marketing ploy. Actually hadn't even heard of it until I saw the Russos tweet out photos. I don't have anything to do with the show, just got excited when I went down the rabbit hole about it yesterday and saw what they were doing.

People can get excited about things LOL Jesus this /r/ is so salty all the time for people enjoying anything that isn't some art house shit.

No, just generally excited over what looks like an ambitious undertaking.

that description could basically make it a high budget, stunt filled network cop show. they've been doing crossovers for a long time.

THEVrilDox OP t1_jadvqpa wrote

Fair comparison, but this is more than just a crossover between Law & Order versions. It's local language shows produced in non-English markets that are equally high budget and exist in a shared story world. That elevates it in my mind to something really new.

I can’t really think of any Amazon shows that have become “mainstream”. Like the Lotr thing was suppose to be the next game of thrones but it’s sort of just there floating along like jack ryan. Like whenever the latest episode of their shows air you don’t see hundreds thousands of trending tweets about them a few hours after like GOT did

2

THEVrilDox OP t1_jaevwvd wrote

It's a really good point. Do you think that is because of the shows themselves or the marketing of those shows? I wasn't a big fan of the LOTR series (so can see how it didn't become mainstream) but there have been a few I've seen there that I really enjoyed and thought deserved more wide success but, as you said, never really got it. The Boys, maybe? Ms. Maisel, maybe? But only really in critics' minds.

Yeah doubtful. But I hope you’re right. Would love more epic shows. Give this one 1% chance
