As a software developer for 28 years. The day an AI can make something that synthesizes differing requirements for the same application from 10 different stakeholders and make them all feel like they won, then I can happily quit. Until that happens, I'm pretty safe.
Also, I'm getting CS masters degree in AI just be sure I am the one making the shovels, not the one digging the hole.

At the beginning, you'll interface with shareholders, and instead of having a team of 12 coders, database experts, graphic and sound designers etc it'll be you and one good model producing like greek gods.
Not so long later, you'll be replaced as well.

We are all digging the hole, anything else is an illusion, you have no power in reality, you're a slave to the state and you'll be a slave to AGI. That's inevitable.

Capitalists control the state. It is their instrument. You are a slave to the capitalist and have always been a slave to the capitalist.

I think state is more accurate since it's universal, capitalism isn't.
