It costs zero dollars to not be a dickhead to people.

For some reason, people seem to love being crass and rude and just plain mean on this sub.

Wish maybe folks would consider the season and try to do better.

How much does it cost to be a dickhead to people?

So I’ve seen these signs all over but am out of the loop on the origin story. Could anyone educate the uniformed?

Just Say’n Signs on FB makes them and gives them away for free

Some lady started making them and giving them away a while back. She’s moved away but now people make their own. My wife has made about 30 of them to give away to people. I think it’s pretty cool, sometimes we need a reminder to chill the fuck out and be cool to people.

There is a store that is really interested in getting one. Anyone know how to get on the list to be kind enough to get one.

Too bad. The world is dying and society is on a sharp decline. Within 500 yrs it will collapse. Human communication is breaking down.

May I ask: Do you work with the general public?

No, I admit to being sheltered. I walk the museum district and carytown a lot. And the vast majority of my interactions are pleasant. HOWEVER, I readily admit to being sheltered and being able to chose most of my interactions.

I've worked retail before..at a lowes..and met a lot of strange people. 90% of them would laugh at my dad jokes and be nice. But the other 20% were memorable jerks.

YES, I know my math is off. But it's a dad joke. I will say that it takes some work on our part not to let the jerky 10% outweigh the neutral to nice majority. One ood asshole can really ruin a day if you let him.

I'm also older and hopefully wiser and have spent some time working on how I view the world and people.

i'm with you dude. i can't remember the last time i had a bad interaction with a random stranger. pleasant chats at the bars. cordial behavior in the supermarket and friendly nods on the streets. the only time i see the nastiness in people is whenever something political comes up in this sub. i think the last time someone was rude to me was back when some lady was pretending masks worked and yelled at me for not wearing one while i ran in the park.

Pointedly says something political/antagonizing

On a real note based in reality - I very rarely have bad interactions in this sub (maybe never actually) and very rarely have bad interactions when talking to strangers (usually in line or at a bar while buzzed).

If someone randomly approaches me on the street though that that has a much higher chance of being a poor interaction but it isn’t a given .
