My girlfriend is a resident who is working crazy hours, and I’d love to surprise her with a good quality candy apple (something she’s been talking a lot about). I did a search before posting this and saw the Treat Shop as a suggestion but figured I’d ask and see if there’s anywhere else I could go.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

There is also usually a guy posted up in the gas station parking lot at Laburnum and Creighton

I used to love caramel apples and I thought Kroger had the best ones honestly

Can get the kits for cheap at the grocery store right now. There's really nothing to it to make your own.

Kroger also has displays with them premade, and they actually look pretty good. From what I’ve seen they all have a peanut coating though

I don't think I have ever met someone who actually likes candy apples. The theory is great and all but the execution is lacking. They're so difficult to eat.

Key is to cut up any apple and it is 100% easier to eat.

I’ve loved them my whole life but now that I have expensive dental work I bring them home, cut them up and eat them a tiny nibble at a time

I tend to cut up apples anyway... Had one too many buggy apples to be eating them out of hand anymore.

The key is realizing that the stick is there to make it easier to dip the apples, not to eat them.
