You’re looking at roughly $70 for any gym around here, plus or minus a bit depending on sales. Ascend was running a year for $770, which got you a free month. I think that’s over. ICB is $68, with discounts for students. All come with unlimited climbing, access to their fitness centers, and usually discounts on classes. Yoga is usually free for members.

Bouldering is usually the easiest way to start. You can rent shoes and buy a day pass without having to commit to a month. That’s around $25. I recommend ICB for bouldering, it’s definitely the best route setting and it’s big enough to not feel crowded.

If you have access to the Active & Fit direct program through your health insurance, you can get a discount on your Ascend membership. It is one of their "premium" tier gyms, I believe it was $35/month, which is a solid deal if you go regularly!

Yeah $800 is pretty typical. I’ve never been to ICB but ascend is the same setup- if you have a daypass/membership you get access to yoga classes and fitness areas, but there is a charge for renting gear. I have a 12 punch pass which works great for me since I wasn’t going regularly.

Yeah, that’s the norm. Punch passes are a good deal if you’re going infrequently, but a membership becomes worth it pretty fast.
