Ahhh yes. I have to work til 10 tonight and am off tomorrow, so I dig this even if my damn body will hate getting used to it for the next two weeks or so.

I guess I'm lucky? I really don't get how one hour added to the time when most people are sleeping can so wildly throw off their body for weeks.

There isn't a single manual clock in our house, we're good.

I don’t mind getting that hour back from the spring, I’m just tired of switching. Just pick a time and stick to it!

People will end up still complaining if we're on one or the other all year. They tried year-round DST in the seventies during the energy crisis, and people absolutely hated that there wasn't daylight until almost 9:00 a.m. at the worst of the winter, and I think people would not be a fan of it getting dark at 8 PM in the summer instead of the 9 PM we've been used to.

Because a non-natural time is dumb. I think we should stick to the time where noon is actually noon.

Sadly, that varies and makes days have non standard length. We could use a mean-noon as noon clock though

I have a baby so this is going to be some miserable, miserable shit for me.

At least my wife told me when she changed all the clocks at like 7pm this year instead of doing it stealthily and having me do it at "1am" and getting them all fucked up.

Right there with you. My one year old doesn’t care what time it is. All I know is I’ll be woken up at “5am” tomorrow instead of “6am”. And my wife’s out of town on a work trip so I’m on my own.

Oh, hey, look at this. Here I am at the new 4:45am up with a 7 month old 😬

Haha mine wasn’t quite as early as I expected, but here I am as well

You shift their full schedule during the week leading up to it by 15 min each day so that on day of change they’re just in the same schedule at the new time.

If my 7 month old actually kept a consistent schedule I would have 💀

Apparently PA is done with day ligh savings and we are stuck in fall back time. Whoever made that decision is clearly a morning person. Fuck em.

My guess is that enough states are going to stop doing it and we will see an avalanche of other states stopping too

Agreed. It will last a few months (like it did in the 1970's) and people will be begging for it to be DST again.

Yeah I agree that it seems to suck, but health experts pretty much agree that permanent standard time is the way to go.

Permanent DST is the way to go. No one needs sunrise to be 5 am in the summer and I say that as someone who starts work at 5 am.
