I know this is late but apteka. It was just listed as a top 50 restaurant by New York Times.

Assuming this was last night but if not:

Morcilla for tapas style, amazing cured meats, etc

Poulet Blue for steak frites (or whatever the special is), aligot potatoes and the soufflé. Even if you’ve had too much - you haven’t.

And the obligatory Gaucho recommendation - everything is awesome!

Obligatory primantis. It's not fabulous cuisine but you'll regret it about the 100th time someone finds out you've been to Pittsburgh and asks you what you think about primantis.

And it's not half bad imo

I’d head to the Southside. Alla Famiglia, Dish Osteria, or Cafe du Jour. Apteka in Lawrenceville/Bloomfield is pretty amazing, too. Enjoy!

They closed years ago unfortunately. They had amazing fries. Haven’t found fries like that since then.
