Nice. I’ll check that out. I think there is a goodwill near target in East Liberty so I’ll definitely take a look.

The Red, White, & Blue thrift stores (Beechview-ish and Avalon) have a ton of jackets. I’ve found 2 different high-end snowboard jackets for like $8
They have a really large collection and good sales

I found this pristine Columbia jacket last year for only $11, I was about to drive the North Face outlet but stopped there. RW&B is the move

Also try Thriftique in Lawrenceville. Stuff is usually in really good shape there. FWIW, a hoodie won't be enough once winter really starts.

Seconding this, there is also a separate Goodwill right behind it so you can hit both in one trip!

True! And I always forget.

if you live in EL area there is a thrift called Clothes Minded that is a really great shop. it won’t be bargain priced but they curate (generally) quality brands and garments. expect to pay 30-50 for nice jackets pants etc as opposed to like $10 or whatever at a goodwill type store

I second this.
But also go to the thrift stores that support specific causes. People tend to give nicer stuff there since it's "for a cause" specifically. I have found great, affordable stuff there.

If you're able, check out the Lawrenceville and South Side locations, they have a much bigger selection. Lawrenceville is usually the cheapest of the three

Yup I believe it's on Baum or Center, it's basically right around the corner.
You're not far from the Lawrenceville GW either, which has a larger selection in my experience.
If you're up for a short drive I suggest the Community Thrift on Babcock, it's always got a wide selection.

I thought that Goodwill closed but I could be wrong. There's one below Butler St. by the old Sears scratch n dent though.

I actually dropped a few bags of good older jackets there a week ago (Levi’s, Carhartt, Columbia) so definitely a place to check out.
