Of all things I wish I could do out of the entire harry potter series; it would be that one scene where the busdriver shrinks the double decker to squeeze between traffic. If I had that ability I would be fine with not being able to Ingota Leviosa or whatever.

People would still use them unless physical infrastructure prevented cars from entering it. People still double park in those red painted lanes on chestnut and walnut. It’s basically the equivalent of drivers in the green painted bike lanes. We can’t have nice things in this city because: cars (among other things).

Cars do not follow any rules based on customs or signage. The only correct approach is physical.

Or harsh enforcement. Equip every bus with traffic cameras and every car that blocks the bus or parks illegally gets a $1000 fine and 2 points on their license. Failure to pay it results in automatic loss of license and car getting impounded.
