To be honest, when mulberries are in season, it’s a constant rain of purple fruit that stains everything and gets slimy underfoot. Not to mention the purple bird shit everywhere.

I loved the willow tree in our backyard when we bought the house and loved getting away from the willow tree when we sold the house.

Yeah they do make a big mess. But if my yard had a rat infestation and a mulberry tree, I'd say it only had 1 problem.
