If they walked in without a jacket, they would get gaveled down in a heartbeat. So, we are so interested in being equal,ā€ Kelley said on Wednesday during the floor debate.

Nothing says "equal" like having separate rules for men and women.

This sort of rule makes me want to show up in a 19th century city outfit... beaver hat, cloak, full dress coat, cummerbund, opera pumps, the whole bit.

Of course that would be the day the legislature is taken over by Charles Miner...

I love how conservatives cry about "SHARIA LAW!" but continually try to impose it.

In such a red state Iā€™m surprised they want government involvement in peopleā€™s personal business. I thought GOP was all about being free from govt?

The Republicans are just the Christian Talaban at this point. Hey remember when the US fought its longest war against religious extremists not that long ago.

We have identified a rule that benefits women a bit more than men (kind of but not really) so in the name of equality we won't allow men a dresscode as free as that of women, but instead take away the right of women to have a more lax dresscode. I will also propose this rule while very clearly not actually believing in it, since I am currently making (and in the past consistently have made) use of the lax dresscode. Really, I just wanna own the libsā„¢ so I am willing to take my own rights away.

They should wear burqa in protest.

It'll be reversed before the news bulletin.
