I question why you'd sanitize anything about these events. The public should see them in their full horror. How else can you demand change?

They edited out the children's screams in footage of the Uvalde shooting that was shared on the news. They said it would be too disturbing to viewers.

And they should not have. People should have heard those screams of those kids. People should face the reality of the horror we allowed and continue to allow these children to go through when something like this happens.

Seeing the phrase "The sound of children screaming has been removed" on the video gave me chills. The actual screams would have done a lot worse, which is why they should have been left in. Seeing the smiling faces in the school photos on memorial pieces isn't doing anything to get people to understand the horrors of these shootings. It's time to stop allowing us to become even more desensitized.

Well, if it was my kid then you can fuck off. I wouldn't want that on the news.

I question why you jump to conclusions. Let me be clear I am aware of the horrors of man. I have been witness to enough. I do not need to be educated about this crisis anymore.
Why do all these events keep happening? For the likes, for the clicks, because it gets our attention. Why do people shoot up schools? To get their point across. Wish I could have talked to the trans kid to let him know that we all know the Christian church is bullshit and is the opposite of love.
But whatever the intentions are in realeasing this video, ultimately it is a play-by-play for all those sick fucks who want to do something similar because their life is so fucked up or sad.
Next time someone has a question you don't have an answer to, you don't have to respond with a presumptuous comment.

I’d argue that it’s important to face the reality of these events- it’s too easy just to brush it off with how frequently it happens.

Let’s be real though departments just release these things quickly when it makes them look good and they delay and edit footage that makes them look bad. It’s not really new.

Until teleportation or flying police cars are invented, it will remain that way. That goes for any emergency response.

Guns are a religion to some here. Some people believe the constitution was divinely inspired (not shitting you) so basically everything in it (well up until reconstruction) was sent from on high.
You can't question the 2nd amendment or the current interpretation of the 2nd amendment w/out questioning the whole religion.

I question, releasing footage and sound. It just seems like these crazy people jack off to this shit as they plan their killing spree.
