No, the government said, "We've changed what this is, now you can't call it what we say it's not." Man had a product and a name brand. US government steps in and fucks with man's livelihood.

Ham is a specific cut of pork, taken from a pig. If inclined, you can take any ham and point to exactly where it came from. The best you can do with pork roll is gesture vaguely towards the pens. Man called it "prepared ham" to try and be a weasel and got called out because it's not ham. And now a hundred plus years later people are still simping for the poor poor businessman that couldn't just lie to everyone for profit without the big bad gubmint stepping in.
