It seems like the answer here is just “every brewery that I have ever personally been to.”

Brewers by and large are cool folks, down-to-earth and generally likeable.

If you make crap beer, you won't survive.

If you're not nice people then you'll also probably not survive. Blue Lobster in Hampton is an example of a place that made very good beer but the owner was a douchebag. Word got out and people stopped going there.

That’s kind of my point; ask people to give a list of breweries to avoid and you aren’t going to get many at all.

Just tried their Exit 1 last night for the first time, phenomenal

I actually didn’t realize it was open, you just gave me something to look forward to

It’s a bit confusing because I believe they have a new location coming at some point and might already be brewing from the new place? But the place that’s currently open is the Townsend west location

Stoneface

ProlapsedMasshole t1_j1hotvy wrote

I used to be very "meh" on Stoneface.

I'm about 5 minutes down the road, so get beers there all the time out of convenience, even though I'd preferred Deciduous.

Not sure if there were new hires or what, but I've found over the past year or so the quality and variety has become phenomenal.

My only issue is the frequency of rotation because it's now easy to find a beer that's great only for it to then be gone. I've got a single can left of "Danger Juice" I'm already mourning.

Deciduous in Newmarket. Kettlehead in Tilton. The Outlaw in Winchester. Modestman in keene. West LA in Swanzey. From the Barrel in Derry. To name a few. Lots of great breweries all over

Surprised I haven’t seen Liars Bench mentioned yet

every1getslaid t1_j1erb4o wrote

Liars bench is fantastic. They are that quite kid in school that just got B+s or A-s the whole time. There will always be lots of good beer there. It may not be the best beer I have ever had, but having 5 solid good beers will always win me over.

Abel Ebeneezer in Merrimack is fantastic. Woodstock is always good when we’re in the area also.

Spyglass, Modestman and Deciduous are my top three, Kettlehead, Garrison City and Branch and Blade are also worth a visit

Schilling in Littleton is the best brewery in the state and should have a higher profile regionally and nationally. Very few breweries are capable of producing excellent beers in a broad range of styles. Schilling turns out great modern (Resilience brand) and central European styles.

From the Barrel - great beer and people. Stoneface makes a great "get it everywhere" beer also made by nice folks.

Love the beer that Copper Pig in Lancaster makes.

They do a really good porter and the imperial stout they made over the summer was to die for.

Just a little family run joint that serves food Thursday through Sunday. The specials are always worth checking out.

UntossableCoconut t1_j1evs3e wrote

I really enjoy their food but when I went 2 out of 3 the beers I got were completely flat. Hope it was just a one off.

DeerFlyHater t1_j1fkx4w wrote

Wow, that stinks. Sorry you had bad beer there. If you do go again and it happens, pull one of the owners aside quietly and ask them about it. Maybe they don't realize it. I would hate to see a young brewery/restaurant go down.

I normally drink either their Ice Jam lager or Kilkenny Red while I'm eating as it is low ABV, but take the dark stuff home in growlers. Probably hard to screw up the simple stuff I drink.

UntossableCoconut t1_j1fr1yb wrote

Kilkenny Red was good! I’ll have to mention it if it happens again. Not sure why I didn’t, felt awkward maybe? Who knows!

I like Earth Eagle as well, but I actually prefer their Somersworth location, the vibe always seems cooler imho.

And I’d put Stoneface on my suggestion list but for the burgers more than the beers.

makeroombafoon t1_j1h371w wrote

Earth eagle is my favorite in the state as well and somersworth is definitely more of a laid back bar feel. Trivia on Wednesdays and rotating beers every couple weeks is what does it for me.

Litherman's, Stoneface, Garrison City, Smutty and Empty Pint see my go-tos.

Northwood and Topwater are also solid in the area, but I don't go very often.

603 brewery in Londonderry has Hard Seltzer.

The Outlaw Brewing in Winchester has hard Seltzer, hard cider and vodka sodas on tap.

Those are the ones I know for sure
