We all know the occasion where you play the world's smallest violin. At what occasion do you play the world's smallest banjo?

Has he been playing since he was an embryo?

p.s. I'm saying nothing about The Horn or Hairy Banjo's as it might lower the tone of the conversation somewhat. :)

^((and a mandolin))

I think it's a bouzouki not a mandolin. Then behind it is either a hammered psaltary or a dulcimer of some kind

JahnBitWaf t1_j2ftm9r wrote

It could be an octave mandola, mine looks a lot like that - basically a large mandolin tuned an octave lower.

[deleted] t1_j2fuf2d wrote

The sound hole does suggest that since most bouzoukis have an oval hole. Most mandolas I've seen have f holes but do often use a circular hole if not. It's funny because most non f hole mandolins will have an oval hole 🤷‍♂️

I had a neighbor that refurbished banjo ukeleles and other head instruments. Don't see the tiny banjos very often!
