I’ve already seen this happen on my block.

Hmm if only there were these devices that had the ability to clearly record and playback what was going on. And maybe just maybe there’s a certain type of vehicle (Honda accords/civics or Toyota Corolla’s) that could be used as bait for these situations. Hmmmmmmmmmm if only. I guess that’s too much work. JCPD time is better used “patrolling” Newark Ave.

Slightly off topic, but I thought this was interesting. It’s footage (from COPS I think) of JCPD running a sting operation in 1990.

This is on Brunswick between 1st and 2nd, sort of the "downtown" area. I drove by this morning and I don't recall seeing it in the morning (maybe just because I was in a rush). I will be more surprised if this happened in the broad daylight rather than last night.

Nope, happened last night. I walked past this morning and spoke with the owner. Wheels were standard - came with car - nothing special. Such a shame.

That’s the point. People steal OEM parts from Hondas and Toyotas and sell them.

I saw a Honda on a flat bed the other morning, no wheels, bumpers stripped.

I wouldn't mind but with the traffic that hits Brunswick at from Newark ave to Christopher Columbus it's a busy street even at night. That's some balls to just jack up a car and strip 4 wheels on a street the cops very regularly use at all hours.

If the police can't solve these crimes and jail the criminals then maybe we need to put bounties on the heads of these people. I'm sure the community members could bag these turds if there were rewards.

One thief corpse = 1 monetary reward.

I mean, or the police could just do their job. You know. Either way works. Depends what kind of society we want to live in. It is our choice.

Every night the Purge siren sounds across Jersey City....each night, all crime is legal and emergency services are suspended for tire and catalytic converter thieves. God Bless Jersey City.
