I've seen many people state that, and yet I've never cared and never had a problem. The oldest phone in my family is my mothers and her iPhone 8 is 5 years old and has 86% battery health. She charges it overnight every night and sometimes in the day too,

I rarely keep phones longer than 2 years so it's never been an issue for me, but my wife's iPhone 12 bought at release is now on 91% after just over 2 years. Hers is also charged overnight every night.

People tend to get a bit obsessed with battery health, but all batteries will degrade over time, there's nothing you can do to prevent it, and inconveniencing yourself and not getting the full experience out of it seems like more hassle than it's worth to just delay something that's inevitable for a little while.
