It's usually shit, worse than your PC/laptop or phone. At least in Peavey Bandit 112.

I have a Vox tube amp for my strat, so when I was quite surprised learn that tube amps were also a thing in the headphone world lol

Tubes were In alot of things like microwaves and tvs back then.

It will work, but will sound like sh!t. If you are looking for a practice amp, I'd suggest digital amps (if it's not too late). Used Blackstars ID series, Boss Katana, Yamaha THR etc. They don't sound amazing, but still fine for what they are (talking purely about headphones out).

I tried this and no, it adds a lot of distortion, you only wanna do this to listen to your electric guitar
