Unless you enjoy dying a lot and I mean a lot, again and again, maaaybe give something else a go.

It's a great game and has sooo many things going for it, but it is for people with godly amounts of patience.

I tried it first as a casual distraction and only managed to frustrate myself.

Yeah, it's about mindset more than anything. It's really difficult to beat if you perceive dying as loosing and if you get upset/frustrated about it.
