Do people actually want foldable phones? Samsung keeps advertising them like they’re the next big thing, but I’ve literally never heard anyone ask for them or even say they’re pretty good

I want one, but I'm waiting for them to mature a bit more. I think a lot of people are in the same boat as me.

I have one and its awesome for my needs -
- Very small form factor
- Screen is protected from scratches (because it folds away)
- Helps with phone addiction because you can do the simple things without even opening the phone, so you dont spend hours mindlessly scrolling

So it’s straight up not a consideration for me until it’s an iPhone because I’m not willing to tolerate android, and the tech isn’t there yet for acceptable durability.
But I straight up don’t understand how a person can dislike the premise. They basically universally allow you to use them folded at whatever size you choose. The foldable bit is just a bonus feature that lets you open it to a bigger screen when you need it. What is there to dislike about that?
