I hated them when I was a kid bc my mom always overcooked them and they were mushy… but sautéed or in the air fryer is where it’s at! 🤌🏻

Really yummy if you add some maple syrup to that too!

My mom only boiled them. I never liked them until I tried them roasted

True, but it also helps when the texture isn’t made to be completely bleh by overcooking them. :)

I have to ask though since you’ve had experience cooking them in the air fryer… what is your experience like baking them?
I brush olive or peanut oil on them then season with garlic salt and black pepper. I put the temp pretty high to brown the outside and keep the middle slightly tougher so it’s not mushy. I’ve never done the air fryer though and I’m left wondering whether that is just the superior method. Should I air fry them over baking?

I baked them in the oven for years before I got an air fryer. Basically the same process. :) I season mine the same way… 400° for 8ish minutes and then good to go.

Thank you so much! I’ll give that a go. My air fryer sits in the cabinet and I just forget to use it. This will be a good reason for me to remember to use it next time.
