I think I speak for everyone when I say getting the fiftieth 'this is IRA and you have an unclaimed package' is a waste of time.
I'm no communications engineer, but my understanding is scammers run their number through some spoofing device/algorithm before it goes to the network. Is it possible to require some sort of authentication from a calling device that the number matches what is being shown on the network?
Or even like a tag that says "Caller ID and number verified". I'm cool with adding complexity to the system. If it takes me one extra step to never get robo calls I'll do it. We've built rockets that land themselves, ending robo calls can't be impossible.
